The Meadowbrook Public Library presents a PBS Documentary Screening featuring the local documentary "Resolved To Live And Die: The Revolutionary Roots of Southwest Virginia" on Monday, May 18, 2026.
Southwest Virginia played a pivotal role in the American Revolution, beginning with the Fincastle Resolutions. In 1775, more than a year before the Declaration of Independence, local leaders from (what was then) Fincastle County boldly signed the document that echoed the same fearless desire for political liberty that would soon ignite a nation.
Light refreshments will be provided.
Presented by the Meadowbrook Museum and the Meadowbrook Library.
The Meadowbrook Public Library is located at 267 Alleghany Spring Road in Shawsville, VA.
