The Blacksburg Farmers Market presents their June and first Mingle at the Market of 2026 on Wednesday, June 10, 2026 at Market Square Park.
Mingle with friends, neighbors and fellow patrons! Enjoy the first Mingle at the Market of 2026 featuring the music from Root Down, local adult beverages provided by JH Bards Distillery and Off the Mall Brewing (Maroon Door) along with the regular farmers market vendors. Food will also be available for purchase.
Root Down is a jazz band based in Blacksburg, VA that often diverges into funk, blues, soul featuring talented local musicians including Justin Craig.
Known for their soulful grooves, tight interplay, and fresh takes on jazz standards, this dynamic local trio brings an inviting, laid-back energy. Whether you're a longtime jazz lover or just looking for the perfect midweek vibe, Root Down Trio sets the tone with smooth melodies, deep rhythms, and plenty of improvisational flair.
