The Jessie Peterman Library presents the program "Happy Birthday Jessie Peterman" on Tuesday, July 28, 2026.
Please join us to celebrate our library's namesake, Miss Jessie Peterman, who was born July 26, 1879.
Ricky Cox, retired Radford University folklore and English instructor, will be here to share stories of life in Floyd in the early 20th century when Jessie a young woman.
And of course, since it's a birthday party, we will have cake, tea, and other lovely refreshments. There may even be some period appropriate music.
The Jessie Peterman Library is located at 321 West Main Street in Floyd, VA.
