Mountain Valor Veteran Services will host the Mountain Valor Fest 2026 on Saturday, September 12, 2026 at Crooked Mountain Campground in Floyd, VA.

Join us for Mountain Valor Fest 2026, a full-day community event honoring veterans and connecting rural families with life-changing resources. Set in the scenic Crooked Mountain Campground, Mountain Valor Fest features live music, food trucks, military displays, kid zone with bounce house, games, temporary tattoos, free books and a dedicated safe play area for younger children, artisan and retail vendors, and community resource exhibits.

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and the Virginia Department of Veterans Services will both have representatives on site, offering benefits counseling, enrollment assistance and resource navigation to veterans and their families. More than three dozen federal, state and local community agencies are expected to participate.

Federal and state agencies will be joined by local organizations providing services that often fill gaps traditional veteran support systems miss. Additional vendor and exhibitor space remains available for both resource providers and vendors.

The event will feature two music acts, Dr. Phil's Kimo Therapy and Glam'r Kiti. A 5:30 PM a remembrance ceremony will honor those lost on September 11, 2001, and through the wars that followed.

Dr. Phil's Kimo Therapy is a band based in Roanoke, VA rooted in Appalachian punk, rockabilly and blues playing an array of covers and originals. Their covers include songs from Nirvana, Pink Floyd, Green Day, Buddy Holly, Prince and more.

Inspired by the classics you know and love, Glam'r Kiti is the nation's premiere 80s rock tribute group. Based in the mountains of Southwest Virginia, they've rocked sold-out shows along the East Coast, and become community favorites in their base city of Roanoke, Virginia.

Glam'r Kiti offers a distinct blend from the era of ray-bans, big hair and blue eyeshadow including Cinderella, Skid Row, Guns N Roses, Kiss, Britney Fox, Poison, Motley Crue and more! They have shared the stage with Sebastian Bach, formerly of Skid Row, the Bullet Boys, Dokken, Warrant and Appetite for Destruction.

Mountain Valor Fest 2026 is free and open to all.

The event is accessible for those with mobility limitations.

Mountain Valor Veteran Services is a veteran-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Floyd, Virginia, serving veterans and their families across seven rural Southwest Virginia counties. Founded in 2024, the organization provides resource navigation, transportation, outreach and community connection to an underserved rural veteran population.

Gates open at noon and the ceremony will be at 5:30 PM.

The event is rain or shine.
