Claytor Lake State Park hosts the American Jet Sport Association (AJSA) 4th Annual Summer Southern Series Jet Ski Regional Championship on Saturday, August 1, 2026 and Sunday, August 2, 2026 headquartered near Shelter #2.

Saturday Schedule:
• 9:00 AM: Practice
• 10:00 AM: Opening Ceremony
• 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM: Vendor Village
• 10:00 AM - 5:30 PM: Food Trucks onsite
• 10:10 AM: Racing Begins
• ~12:30 PM: Live Music by Divided Highway during Midday Break
• ~12:30 PM: Freestyle Competition during Midday Break

Get ready for a full weekend of high-speed personal watercraft racing as the AJSA Southern Summer Series returns to Pulaski County. Some of the best jet ski races from across the Southeast will compete on both stand-up and sit-down personal watercraft on a challenging, spectator-friendly course featuring tight turns, close racing action, and a log jump. Fans will have an excellent view as riders battle for position and valuable series points throughout the weekend.

Saturday is the biggest day for spectators with racing and entertainment both on and off the water. Saturday is the best day to experience the complete event including jet ski racing with the Pro Ski 1050, Pro 1100 Runabout Limited, Futures, and Amateur Racing. During the Midday Intermission enjoy live music from Divided Highway and the Freestyle Competition and Show after the completion of Moto 1.

After intermission, racing resumes and continues until all Moto 2 races are complete. Saturday competition will conclude with a Freestyle Exhibition. The Awards Presentation will held 30-60 minutes after the final results.

Food trucks and vendors will be available. Fans, and especially kids, can enjoy the virtual jet ski race experience. They'll get the chance to grab a controller, race head-to-head, and experience the fun of jet ski racing in a completely different way.

Admission to the event is free all weekend long.

Note: The $7.00 per vehicle state park parking fee still applies for this event.

The Vendor Village and live music are scheduled for Saturday only, but Sunday provides another full day of racing as competitors battle for the overall weekend results and Southern Summer Series points.

Spectators are encouraged to bring their own chairs and/or tents to watch.
