Claytor Lake State Park hosts the American Jet Sport Association (AJSA) 4th Annual Summer Southern Series Jet Ski Regional Championship on Saturday, August 1, 2026 and Sunday, August 2, 2026 headquartered near Shelter #2.

Sunday Schedule:
• 8:30 AM: Newcomer Practice
• 9:00 AM: Opening Ceremony & Racing Begins
• 10:00 AM - 3:30 PM: Food Trucks onsite

Get ready for a full weekend of high-speed personal watercraft racing at Claytor Lake State Park as the AJSA Southern Summer Series returns to Pulaski County.

Some of the best jet ski races from across the Southeast will compete on both stand-up and sit-down personal watercraft on a challenging, spectator-friendly course featuring tight turns, close racing action, and a log jump. Fans will have an excellent view as riders battle for position and valuable series points throughout the weekend.

Racing on Sunday begins with both pro and amateur racing. Followed by a Freestyle competition during the final race order. Moto 4 will continue until racing is complete. The Awards Presentation will held 30-60 minutes after the final results.

Food trucks will be available during the day. Fans, and especially kids, can enjoy the virtual jet ski experience. They’ll get the chance to grab a controller, race head-to-head, and experience the fun of jet ski racing in a completely different way.

Admission to the event is free all weekend long.

Note: The $7.00 per vehicle state park parking fee still applies for this event.

Spectators are encouraged to bring their own chairs and/or tents to watch.
