The Christiansburg Police Department presents their Annual National Night Out on Tuesday, August 4, 2026 at Huckleberry Park in Christiansburg, VA.

Enjoy an evening of free food, drinks, activities and more! The event is a national community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships. Kids and families can learn more about local Emergency Services while also joining in on fun activities!

Activities and demonstrations at the event will include:
• Free meal for the first 300 guests
• Free face painting
• Free snow cones and popcorn
• Therapy pony
• Dunk tank
• Fire obstacle course
• Child fingerprinting *
• Drone demo
• K9 demo
• Emergency services Touch-a-Truck
• SWAT display
• Lifeguard 10 landing
• Giveaways and swag

* Note: Parents keep the fingerprints, the police department does not keep a record.

There will also be a National Night Out Touch-A-Truck featuring Christiansburg Police, Fire, EMS, Blacksburg Police, Montgomery County Police, Virginia Tech Police, Department of Wildlife Resource and Virginia State Police. The Life-Guard Helicopter is also scheduled to land on site with its call volume permitting.
