The Virginia Tech Sensory Evaluation Lab presents a Chickpea Pasta Taste Test on Wednesday, August 12, 2026 and Thursday, August 12, 2026 in room 205 of the Sensory Evaluation Lab on the campus of Virginia Tech.

The Virginia Tech Sensory Evaluation Lab (VT SEL) is conducting a taste test on Chickpea Pasta, and we need your help! Participants will be asked to taste chickpea pasta samples in one 25-minute session. Participants will receive a $10 gift card as compensation, will be offered a snack after their session, can enjoy the experience of tasting chickpea pasta and gain experience in sensory evaluation techniques.

We are recruiting volunteers who are:
• 18 years or older
• Not currently pregnant or breastfeeding
• Have no known food allergies or sensitivities to Chickpea Pasta (Chickpeas, fava/faba bean, pea starch, tapioca, xanthan gum).
• Interested in tasting several samples of Chickpea Pasta.

Participation is voluntary and will not affect your relationship with Virginia Tech or the Sensory Evaluation Lab.

Free parking will be provided for study participants.

Virginia Tech Sensory Evaluation Lab is located at 1230 Washington Street, 205 HABB1 in Blacksburg, VA on the campus of Virginia Tech.
