The Eastmont Community Foundation presents the Annual Eastmont Tomato Festival on Saturday, August 15, 2026 at the Meadowbrook Center in Shawsville, VA.

Event Schedule:
• 9:45 AM: Day of Contests Registration Opens
• 10:00 AM: Welcome
• 10:15 AM: Tomato Talent Show
• 10:15 AM: Closing of Day of Contest Registrations / Entries
• 11:00 AM: Storytime with Joelle
• 11:45 AM: Tomato Toss
• 12:00 PM: TomatOlympics
• 12:00 PM: Stonehouse in Concert
• 1:30 PM: Tomato Eating Contest
• 2:00 PM: Festival Ends

Enjoy all things tomato! The free festival features contests for tomato art and tomato recipes, as well as competitions for biggest, smallest, ugliest and best-tasting tomato. Participants can also don their best tomato-themed outfits to compete in the ever-popular Tomato Pageant, and belly up to become the tomato-eating champion either in the ages 6-12 category or 13 & older category or compete in the TomatOlympics for ages 12 & under.

Tomato Grower & Tomato Food Dish Contest entries can be entered from 9:45-10:15 AM. All entries are due by 10:15 AM. Winners will be announced around 12:00 PM. For more information, visit: https://www.eastmontcf.com/s/2026-ecf-form-tomato-grower-dish-contest.pdf.

The Tomato Talent Show will feature a tomato-themed talent, outfit and/or artwork. Registration begins at 10:00 AM and the Talent Show begins at 10:30 AM. There are four age groups: 0-3, 4-22, 23-39 and 40+. Winners will be announced at the conclusion of the Talent Show. Enjoy great food (including fried green tomatoes, BLTs, pizzas, tomato sandwiches and tomato biscuits), live music from Stonehouse, games, storytime, arts & crafts, and much more!

There is no entry fees for any of the contests and everyone is encouraged to join and enter multiple contests.

Admission is free and all are welcome. Parking is also free.

Meadowbrook Center is located at 267 Alleghany Spring Road in Shawsville, VA.
