Pulaski Theatre presents a BUZZ Watch Party starring the Calfee Community & Cultural Center on Friday, August 21, 2026.

Join us for a special community screening as BUZZ4Good Television Network presents its newest episode starring the Calfee Community & Cultural Center!

This inspiring episode explores the past, present, and future of the Calfee Training School, highlighting the school's remarkable legacy, the people who shaped its history, and the vision that continues to transform lives today.

Before the screening, enjoy a special live performance by Melissa Holland, vocalist with Groove Kontrol Band, as we gather to celebrate our community's history and future.

The institution that came to be known as the Calfee Training School first opened its doors in southwest Virginia as a school for African American children in 1894. After the original building burned down, the current facility was built by the Public Works Administration in 1939 and continued to be used as a school for African American children until the Pulaski County Public School system fully desegregated in 1966.

Admission is free and all are welcome.

The Pulaski Theatre is located at 14 West Main Street in Pulaski, VA.
