The Center for the Arts at Virginia Tech presents Cube Fest 2026 held over three days starting on Friday, August 21, 2026 through Sunday, August 23, 2026.

Immerse yourself in the adventure of sound at Cube Fest, Virginia Tech’s premier biennial spatial music festival. From intensely musical to delicately digital, Cube Fest’s international creators speak with dramatic originality.

The 2026 edition focuses on spoken word, celebrating innovative composers forging rich connections to poetry, soundscapes, and human expression. From intensely musical to delicately digital, Cube Fest’s international creators speak with dramatic originality.

Sunday Schedule:
• 1:00-2:30 PM: Installation (Tyechia Thompson) - No Registration Required
• 2:30 PM: Audience Discussion (Sherri Craig) - No Registration Required
• 3:00 PM: Master Class: Where the Poem Lives: Spoken Word, Images & Sound - Registration Required
• 7:00 PM: Playback Experiences III (Curated Works without Live Performances) - Registration Required
• 9:00 PM: 3 Fee High and Rising - De La Soul - Spatial Orchestration (Registration Required)

Admission is free for all Cube Fest 2026 events though tickets are limited.
