Description:
Spikenard Honeybee Sanctuary presents their August Open Day on Friday, August 21, 2026.
Spikenard is opening its gates for visitors to come experience the wonder and beauty of the Honeybee Sanctuary!
Wander the gardens, spend time with the bees, browse the gift shop, and enjoy the beauty of a place devoted to pollinators, biodiversity, and the rhythms of the living world. And of course, don’t forget to stop by and say hello to the goats while you’re here!
Open Days at the Sanctuary are offered monthly during the spring, summer, and fall. Deepening our connections to nature by visiting the beehives or sitting in the flower gardens encourages an appreciation of all life forms. We welcome visitors of all ages to explore the land, ask questions, and observe the amazing work of pollinators like bees, butterflies, and birds here at the Sanctuary.
We offer tours led by experienced beekeepers for those interested in learning more. We also have a wide array of pollinator plants for sale for planting your own pollinator forage at home. Our plants are chosen for their nutritional and medicinal value for pollinators and are grown using biodynamic methods here at the Sanctuary.
Admission is free and all are welcome.
We welcome you to visit and enjoy the sanctuary.
Spikenard Honeybee Sanctuary's mission is to promote sustainable and biodynamic beekeeping through education, experience-based research and a honeybee sanctuary and to help restore the health and vitality of the honeybee worldwide.
