The Hokie Way presents the Countdown to Kickoff with Tech Talk Live and The Mantra Band in concert on Thursday, August 27, 2026 at McClain's at First & Main in Blacksburg, VA.

Event Schedule:
• 6:00 PM: Talk Talk Live Football Radio Show
• 8:00 PM: Live Music from The Mantra Band

Watch and listen to the two-hour season premiere of Virginia Tech athletics radio show "Tech Talk Live" covering the start of the Hokie football season broadcast live with the Voice of the Hokies Bill Roth and Mike Burnop and stick around for a performance by The Mantra Band starting at 8:00 PM.

Hokie Football student-athletes Kemari Copeland and Marcellus Hawkins will be taking pictures and signing autographs for fans.

The Mantra Band is an epic band from Blacksburg, VA.

Admission is free and open to the public.

A portion of the proceeds from the food sales will be donated to Bud Foster's Lunch Pail Defense Foundation.

Seating is first come, first served.

McClain's at First & Main is located at 1614 South Main Street in Blacksburg, VA.
