The Community Foundation of the New River Valley presents the program "Is Screen Time on the Brain?" on Wednesday, August 26, 2026 inside 162B Gobney Hall on the campus of New River Community College.

Join First Steps to hear from Eddie Worth and Jim Hale from the Safe Surfin’ Foundation who will present an overview of their work across the nation to educate on Internet Safety.

A panel of local experts will share on the impacts of screen time on development. Our goal is for participants to leave with information and realistic, healthy strategies and alternatives to screen time to share with families.

Admission is free though registration is required.
