Description:
LEAP Performing Arts Company presents Nutcracker & Holiday Spectacular Auditions open to all ages on Saturday, August 29, 2026 at the Center for the Arts at Virginia Tech.

Actors and dancers from any studio, school, or community are invited and welcome to join us for our 2026 holiday productions with open to the public auditions.

The 15th Anniversary Nutcracker & Nutcracker Jr. performances are on Friday, December 11th and Saturday, December 12th at the Center for the Arts at Virginia Tech.

The Holiday Spectacular performances are on Saturday, December 5th and Sunday, December 6th at The Lyric Theatre.

One audition gives dancers the opportunity to be considered for both productions.

Audition Times:
• 2:00–2:30 PM: Ages 2–4.5
• 2:30–3:00 PM: Ages 4.5–6
• 3:00–3:45 PM: Ages 7–8
• 3:45–4:45 PM: Ages 9–11
• 4:45–5:45 PM: Ages 11–13
• 5:45–7:15 PM: Ages 13–Adult

Dancers will audition in Ballet and Acro for The Nutcracker and Jazz & Musical Theater for the Holiday Spectacular.

And cameras will be rolling! Our professional production team will be joining us as we continue filming "Becoming Clara", our behind-the-scenes docuseries following the journey of bringing this year’s Nutcracker to the stage. Photo/video releases will be completed as part of the audition process.

Actors and singers, Holiday Spectacular auditions will be held on Sunday, August 30th at the Blacksburg LEAP Performing Arts Company studio.
