The Edward Via Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine (VCOM) presents the Strides for Shelter 5k Community Run / Walk for New River Community Action on Saturday, August 29, 2026 starting and ending at VCOM.

Enjoy a VCOM-hosted run/walk supporting homelessness prevention. All funds will go towards New River Community Action supporting those struggling with rent and utilities.

The t-shirts have been ordered for this event. Any sign ups on or after August 12th will not receive a t-shirt. Payment will be donation based (pay what you can) instead of the regular $25.00 per entrant before the t-shirt deadline.

The Edward Via Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine (VCOM) is located at 2265 Kraft Drive in Blacksburg, VA within the Virginia Tech Corporate Research Center.
