Description:
Claytor Lake State Park presents their September Volunteer Workday featuring Shoreline Cleanup on Monday, September 7, 2026.
Help us clean up our beach to end the summer season on Labor Day. Learn about how pollution can spread in an aquatic environment and help us protect ourselves and our wildlife.
Each month, volunteers of all ages and skill levels are welcome to work together on a project that helps improve and maintain our beautiful park. Projects vary each month and may include tasks like trail maintenance, park beautification, litter cleanup, or special volunteer projects. This is a great opportunity to get outside, meet new people, and give back to the park you love.
No experience is necessary, and all tools and supplies are provided.
Registration is not required and children are welcome.
Note: The standard vehicle state park parking fee does not apply for volunteers.
Please bring sunscreen, wear closed-toe shoes, and don't forget some water. Whether you can stay for 20 minutes or the full event, every helping hand makes a difference. We're coming together to keep our shoreline clean, safe and beautiful for the end of our summer season.
Claytor Lake State Park is located at 6620 Ben H. Bolen Drive in Dublin, VA.
