To Our House and United Way NRV present Shelter Fest 2017 on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at The Barn at Sinkland Farms.

Come out to beautiful Sinkland farms for hip-swinging, booty-shaking, toe-stomping tunes served up by Southwest Virginia’s own talented performers including Badunkafunk, Black Wax Rebellion, West End, and Cole Massey to support the homeless and others in need.

Shelter Fest 2017 is a concert to benefit To Our House and United Way of the New River Valley.

Headline performers include Bandunkafunk, playing Blue Ridge thunder funk and soul and offering up their unique take on the songs of their musical heroes and Black Wax Rebellion, an Americana Rock-n-Roll foursome. Special guests include Radford’s newest tight group, West End, playing indie rock, and Blacksburg’s Cole Massey, performing acoustic alternative rock.

Bringing hip-swinging, booty-shaking funk to southwest VA! Formed in 2010, Badunkafunk has brought their infectious brand of Blue Ridge Thunderfunk to festival and Cclub stages throughout the region.

Ezra Ford delivers the soul vocals, while Jeremy "J-Boogie" Hagy on guitar and Matt "Duke" Lucas on the sax rip out some sweet melodies. Ryan Gross pounds out the beat and Allen Canterbury thumps the low end to make you move that bottom! The boys are back on the road armed with a set of new originals alongside their unique take on the songs of their hero's that have thrilled audiences throughout the Commonwealth.

Black Wax Rebellion is an American rock-n-roll trio based in southwest Virginia.

West End is an Indie-Folk and Alternative band from Radford, Virginia.
