Montgomery County Parks & Recreation continues their 2018 Summer Movie Series with the animated classic "The Lion King" on Friday, July 13, 2018 at the Frog Pond.

"The Lion King" is a 1994 animated film rated G starring Matthew Broderick, Jeremy Irons, James Earl Jones, Whoopi Goldberg and Rowan Atkinson.

Movie Synopsis:
A young lion prince is cast out of his pride by his cruel uncle, who claims he killed his father. While the uncle rules with an iron paw, the prince grows up beyond the Savannah, living by a philosophy: No worries for the rest of your days. But when his past comes to haunt him, the young prince must decide his fate: Will he remain an outcast or face his demons and become what he needs to be?

While waiting for the movies to begin, take a splash in the pool or enjoy free popcorn. Movies will begin as soon as it is dark enough to see the screen.

If you arrive before 6:00 pm, general admission fees to the Frog Pond Swimming Pool apply. If you arrive at 6:00 pm or after, admission is free.

No pre-registration is required. Feel free to bring all your friends and family to that warm summer air under the stars with us!

Bring your own blanket or chair to sit on.
