The Institute for Creativity, Arts, and Technology (ICAT) and the Moss Arts Center at Virginia Tech presents Cube Fest 2018 with the Ableton Live Workshop with Ben Casey on Saturday, August 11, 2018.

Ben Casey of Ableton, Inc., will present an introductory workshop on Ableton Live, introducing the new multichannel features of Live 10. Christopher Willits will discuss Envelop for Live, a collection of free open-source spatial audio production tools that work with Ableton Live Suite, and share how he uses it.

Cube Fest 2018, occurring from August 9–12, 2018, is a spatial music festival with performances for the public and a VIP package of hands-on, behind-the-scenes, and creative opportunities for fellow revolutionists. Cube Fest brings together a group of 20 international audio technology experts, computer engineers, music technology experts, musicians, and composers who will present performances of original compositions created for the Cube and preexisting works, including music by the late David Bowie.
