Christ Lutheran Church presents a Rough Draught Coffee House featuring guest speaker Charlie Thompson on Saturday, November 16, 2019.

Charles D. "Charlie" Thompson Jr., professor of cultural anthropology and documentary studies at Duke University, will speak on “A Search for Rural Justice: An intimate portrait of the joys and hardships of rural life, as one man searches for community, equality, and tradition in Appalachia."

Author of seven books and seven documentary films, Charlie will be discussing his newly released book (October 2019), "Going Over Home".

This free event is open to the public.

Free refreshments will be provided, plus door prizes will be given away! Books will be available for purchase after the presentation. Donations to support RDCH are welcome.

While most RDCH events are non-religious, they are designed to celebrate the works of the creative process in the works of scholars and artists.
