The Commonwealth Cyber Initiative will host the third Fall Seminar titled: "Security, Privacy, and Safety in the Internet of Things," with guest speaker Elisa Bertino on Thursday, October 29, 2020.
Elisa Bertino, professor of Computer Science at Purdue University, and ACM, IEEE and AAAS Fellow member, will outline a security lifecycle approach to securing IoT data, and then focus on recent work on security analysis for cellular network protocols and edge-based anomaly detection based on machine learning techniques. She will conclude with a brief discussion of recent work focusing on security and safety-constrained autonomous IoT devices that use use reinforcement learning techniques.
