The Radford University College of Visual and Performing Arts presents "Batboy: The Musical" with five performances starting on Tuesday, April 2, 2024 and ending on Sunday, April 7, 2024 inside the Bondurant Auditorium within Preston Hall on the campus of Radford University.

Musical Performances:
• Tuesday, April 2nd at 7:30 PM
• Thursday, April 4th at 7:30 PM
• Friday, April 5th at 7:30 PM
• Saturday, April 6th at 7:30 PM
• Sunday, April 7th at 2:00 PM

Inspired by a 1992 tabloid headline of a half-bat / half-boy discovered in a cave, "Bat Boy: the Musical" is the story of an outsider, dubbed "Edgar" by his would-be protectors. This wild child is taken in by the people of a small town and in spite of his efforts to civilize himself, Edgar is regarded with suspicion and hounded for his strange appearance. He soon realizes that civilization is not all that "civilized".

Then, when the shocking story of his unholy origin comes to light, a fateful reckoning ensues. This offbeat "comedy/horror rock musical" is a funny and poignant look at how we treat others based on assumptions.

Admission is $10.00 for adults, $6.00 for Radford University faculty & staff, seniors are $6.00 and Radford University students with ID are free.
