The Blacksburg Community Band presents their Annual Winter Concert on Sunday, December 7, 2025 in the Commonwealth Ballroom located within the Squires Student Center on the campus of Virginia Tech.

Join us for a very special winter concert! Plus, we will have Santa & Mrs. Claus, the band’s former director David McKee will be our Narrator for "‘Twas the Night Before Christmas", and the Blacksburg Children's Chorale will join us for one song.

There will be a free reception afterwards with more cookies than you can shake a stuffed stocking at.

Enjoy a fall concert featuring conductor Emmett O'Leary and associate conductor Dean Chiapetto.

Admission is free and open to the public.

Donations will be accepted.

The Blacksburg Community Band, Inc. is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) nonprofit community organization formed in 1989 under the auspices of the Department of Parks and Recreation in the Town of Blacksburg, Virginia.

The ensemble is open to individuals of all ages and ability levels from the New River Valley and surrounding areas and performs in an average of 20 concerts each year throughout the New River Valley. The band was incorporated in Virginia as a non-profit corporation in 2007.

Parking is free on the Virginia Tech campus on the weekends as long as you don’t park in a "reserved 24-hours" spot.

Note: The location has switched from the Blacksburg High School Auditorium to the Commonwealth Ballroom.

The Commonwealth Ballroom is located within the Squires Student Center is located at 290 College Avenue in Blacksburg, VA on the campus of Virginia Tech.
