Beliveau Farm Winery celebrates Grandparent's Day on Sunday, September 8, 2019.
We would like to take a day to thank Grandparents for their continuing love and support in our lives. We are offering 20% off wine bottles all day. We will have live music by local favorite Celie Holmes and food available for purchase.
Celie Holmes has been singing since before she could whistle, and learned to whistle at the grand old age of four. She loves the vast wealth of the American Songbook, and shares her favorite songs with audiences in and around the Roanoke Valley.
Celie's love of the standards is clear in her interpretations. Her performances are lively, fun, and engaging. She's bound to get your fingers snapping and bring a smile to your face. She counts among her influences the great jazz singers and musicians of the 40's, 50's, 60's, and beyond, including Carmen McRae, Blossom Dearie, Ella Fitzgerald, and Sarah Vaughan; and some fellas too: Frank Sinatra, Louis Armstrong, Burt Bacharach, Stan Getz.
