The Christiansburg Institute and the Montgomery County Community Review Council presents "The Crucial Significance of Preserving and Sharing Black History" with Jordan Bell at The Lyric Theatre on Thursday, February 15, 2024.

At this in-person gathering, we will explore the rich and diverse heritage of Black history, delving into the stories, struggles, and triumphs that have shaped our society. Through an engaging presentation by featured speaker Jordan Bell, followed by a facilitated panel discussion, we aim to foster a greater understanding and appreciation of Black history.

Discover the rich cultural tapestry and history of Roanoke, Virginia, and its connections to Montgomery County through the lens of Jordan Bell, an esteemed community historian, professional educator, and dedicated cultural organizer. Born and raised in Roanoke, VA, Jordan is deeply rooted in the history and heritage of the region. Jordan will provide a lecture and presentation.

General admission is $5.00 per person, early admission is $3.00 and student admission with ID is free.
