In partnership with the Town of Blacksburg, the Invasive Species Collaborative (ISC) at Virginia Tech is hosting a film screening of "Uninvited: The Spread of Invasive Species" on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at The Lyric Theatre.

Globally and locally, biological invasions have significant environmental, economic, and social impacts. Uninvited introduces the concept of invasive species and explains how diverse partnerships and strategies can be used to prevent their spread and establishment.

Following the screening, a panel of content professionals will be on hand to answer audience questions. Panelists are: Cedric Shannon, Weathertop Farm; Jason Pall, Glade Road Growing; and Mark Schonbeck, Research Associate at the Organic Farming Research Foundation.
