The Lyric Theatre continues the 2nd International Film Festival with the Spanish film "The Spirit of Beehive" on Wednesday, April 2, 2025.

International Film Schedule:
• Tuesday, April 1st at 7:30 PM: "City of God" (Brazil)
• Wednesday, April 2nd at 7:30 PM: "The Spirit of the Beehive" (Spain)
• Thursday, April 3rd at 7:30 PM: "House of Flying Daggers" (China)

The International Film Festival features three critically acclaimed films from Brazil, Spain, and China shown over three consecutive days starting on Tuesday, April 1st through Thursday, April 3rd.

"The Spirit of the Beehive" is a 1973 Spanish coming-of-age, psychological drama, supernatural fantasy and is not rated starring Fernando Fernán Gómez, Teresa Gimpera and Ana Torrent.

Film Synopsis:
In 1940, after watching and being traumatized by the movie Frankenstein (1931), a sensitive seven-year-old girl living in a small Spanish village drifts into her own fantasy world.
