"Pretty in Pink" is a 1986 romance comedy starring Molly Ringwald, Andrew McCarthy and Jon Cryer, written by John Hughes and is rated PG-13.

Movie Synopsis:
Andie is an outcast, hanging out either with her older boss, who owns the record store where she works, or her quirky high school classmate Duckie, who has a crush on her. When one of the rich and popular kids at school, Blane, asks Andie out, it seems too good to be true. As Andie starts falling for Blane, she begins to realize that dating someone from a different social sphere is not easy.

Stay after the movie for a free 1980s Dance Party on College Avenue with live music from Blacksburg’s very own Talk2Me band (formerly known as The Breakfast Club Band) performing all your favorite 80s hits until 10:00 PM.

Tickets are $12.00 for the special screening and the Dance in the Street Party is free and open to the public.

The Breakfast Club started in 2015 and features a group of Blacksburg area musicians that performs rock shows at festivals, clubs, dances and private events throughout the area. In addition to mixed-set shows featuring music from the 1950s – present, their concerts often center around a tribute to a singular artist or band, and feature a live performance of an entire album.

To date, the band has done shows for Wilco, Fiona Apple, Fleetwood Mac, Prince, Frank Zappa and Dirty Dancing Live. In addition to club shows, the band is available for house concerts, festivals and parties, Their appearances at the London Underground Pub Wake-Up Call in Blacksburg are special occasions for the community at large.

Roanoke Times columnist Tad Dickens describes the band as "the most talented musicians in Blacksburg".
