The Virginia Tech School of Performing Arts presents the premiere of the Virginia Tech student-made mini series "Almost Something" on Wednesday, May 6, 2026 at The Lyric Theatre.

"Almost Something," a brand new mini series directed and created by Virginia Tech student Sabrina Harrison. Blending humor, stress and comfort, the series follows a college couple navigating a time when everything feels just within reach, yet at risk of falling apart.

Centered around a college couple in their final stretch before graduation, the series captures a moment in life defined by uncertainty. It’s a time of endless possibility, overshadowed by the fear of change. It explores the beauty of not knowing and the human process of figuring out what kind of life you actually want to be yours.

Admission is free.

Join us in supporting local filmmakers at this special premiere event.

Local band Studio 249 will perform right outside The Lyric starting at 6:30 PM before the premiere starts.

Studio 249 hails from Virginia Tech and plays a fantastic summer evening mix of beach, boat and classic rock.
