As part of the 2024 Mary Draper Ingles Festival, Long Way Brewing presents the Blue Phoenix Band in concert and a short re-enactment of a "Long Way to Freedom" on Saturday, July 27, 2024.

Event Schedule:
• 5:00-5:30 PM: Floyd Historical Dancers Performance
• 6:00-9:00 PM: Blue Phoenix in Concert
• 7:00-7:30 PM: Reenactment of "Long Walk to Freedom"

Enjoy live music from Blue Phoenix, a performance from the Floyd Historical Dancers and a re-enactment of a "Long Walk to Freedom".

Blue Phoenix is a vibrant band based in Blacksburg, VA that brings together a powerhouse of talented musicians that take you on a musical journey that transcends genres and ignites your soul.

From blues to classic rock, americana to jazz, and folk to country, Blue Phoenix masterfully blends these styles to create a unique sound that will keep you grooving all night long. A merry band of actors will share Mary Draper Ingles journey through words, sound, and movement featuring Richard and Kathleen Harshberger and Robyn Berg of Radford University's Theatre Department.

The Driftwood Catering food truck will be on site from 12:00-8:00 PM.

All events are free and family appropriate.

The 2024 Mary Draper Ingles Festival commemorating the capture, escape and the grueling return journey to her home in the New River Valley of one of Virginia’s most famous colonial heroines taking place July 26-28, 2024 in the City of Radford and surrounding communities.
