Metallica presents their M72 World Tour in concert with openers Pantera and Suicidal Tendencies on Wednesday, May 7, 2025 inside Virginia Tech's Lane Stadium.

Get ready for an unforgettable night in Blacksburg! We’re thrilled to announce that the legendary band, Metallica, will be performing at Lane Stadium in the round from the 50 yard line of Worsham Field. This monumental show is part of their M72 World Tour, and it promises to deliver an electrifying experience you won’t want to miss!

In a new twist, M72 2025 World Tour will include several single shows with the full production, including the in-the-round stage and Snake Pit. Among them are two college football stadiums: JMA Wireless Dome in Syracuse, New York, and our first-ever visit to Blacksburg, Virginia, home of the Virginia Tech Hokies. The show at Lane Stadium will mark the culmination of 20+ years of “Enter Sandman” playing as the Hokies take the field.

Each stadium show offers a variety of Enhanced Experiences, ranging from access to a meet and greet, production and stage tour, food and beverage in the “Black Box” lounge to early entry into the venue and the aforementioned Snake Pit.

Tickets range from $60.00-$299.00 for the general public and Virginia Tech students are $49.50.

Presale tickets start on Monday, September 23rd at 10:00 AM and general public tickets will go on sale starting on Friday, September 27th provided tickets are available.

A limited number of tickets have been specially priced for current Virginia Tech students. These tickets will be general admission seats in the North endzone of Lane Stadium.

There is a four-ticket limit per person and a two-ticket limit for current Virginia Tech students for the special student section.

Parking passes will be available to purchase at a later date.
