Warm Hearth Village wraps up their three-part Health Connections series "Exploring the Brain" on Tuesday, April 15, 2025 inside the Warm Hearth Village Center.
Join us for the engaging three-part series diving into the mysteries of the brain and exploring strategies to combat cognitive decline. Each session will shed light on age-related cognitive disorders, brain anatomy, and ways to maintain brain health.
In the final session of the series, explore practical strategies to protect and enhance brain health. Dr. Kylee Smith will examine how lifestyle choices, such as diet, exercise and mental stimulation can support cognitive function. Attendees will also learn about emerging research shaping the future of cognitive healthy and ways to apply these findings to everyday life.
Presented by Dr. Kylee Smith, a postdoctoral fellow at Virginia Tech specializing in traumatic brain injury (TBI) research. She focuses on identifying blood biomarkers to predict outcomes after TBIs in both children and adults.
