Friends of the Montgomery-Floyd Regional Library presents the 29th Annual New River Valley Garden Tour on Saturday, July 12, 2025 at various locations across the Town of Blacksburg, VA.

This self guided tour features seven lovely private gardens in the Blacksburg area showcasing innovative, specialty and simply beautiful private gardens. The tour also includes music and plein air artists at each garden along with a Master Gardener to answer questions.

2025 New River Valley Garden Tour Line-Up:
• Cochran Garden: 2175 Maple Lane, Blacksburg
• Davis Garden: 1009 Kentwood Drive, Blacksburg
• Effinger Garden: 710 Harding Avenue, Blacksburg
• Hazel/Pigg Garden: 705 York Drive, Blacksburg
• Monroe/Moore Garden: 305 Dunton Drive, Blacksburg
• Redditt Garden: 701 Knob Hill Drive, Blacksburg
• Steeves Garden: 706 York Drive, Blacksburg

Tickets are $20.00 per person and include a program and a map.

Tickets are available starting June 1st online at https://mfrlfriends.org/wp/garden-tour/ and in person at the Blacksburg, Christiansburg, Jesse Peterman and Meadowbrook Libraries and at each garden on the day of the tour.

Note: Online ticket sales will close at 2:00 PM on Friday, July 11th.

All proceeds will benefit the local library programs.

The tour takes place rain or shine.

The event is sponsored by the Friends of the Library with the cooperation of the New River Valley Master Gardeners’ Association.
