Claytor Lake State Park presents the program "Bear Aware" on Saturday, May 9, 2026.

Have you ever encountered a bear while hiking? What did you do? What should you do? Learn how to coexist with one of our largest animals on the landscape as we take a closer look at their pelts and skulls.

The event is free, but the $7.00 state park parking fee per vehicle still applies.

Claytor Lake State Park is located at 6620 Ben H. Bolen Drive in Dublin, VA.
