2026 Wilderness Road Ride (Bicycle Ride)

FCA Endurance Southwest Virginia presents 35th Annual Wilderness Road Ride gran fondo on Saturday, May 23, 2026 starting and ending at Bisset Park's Shelter #2 in Radford, VA.
The Wilderness Road Ride is a scenic and historical adventure that follows part of Daniel Boone’s Wilderness Road. This is a recreational ride on paved roads for all cycling levels to enjoy, with something for everyone - five distances to choose from ranging from a 26-mile relaxed journey for novices and e-bikes, to a century challenge for the fittest cyclist. This is a great ride for cyclists of all ages and athletic abilities.
Fully supported aid stations will be positioned at regular intervals along the course and the start/finish location. Aid stations will be supplied with Heed Hammer Nutrition fuel, as well as water and plenty of other snacks. SAG vehicles will be on the course for emergencies. After the ride, enjoy a Post Ride BBQ offered by the Roanoke Triathlon Club.
All pre-registered riders are guaranteed a technical t-shirt and other goodies. Detailed maps and cue sheets will be available at the start of the ride. You can also upload the routes to your device from the Course Maps tab.

The online registration deadline is Thursday, May 21st at 12:01 AM. After that date, registration will still be available on the day of the ride.
All routes will start and finish at Radford's Bisset Park, shelter #2, right, alongside the New River. Non-riders can enjoy beautiful Bisset Park, the New River, and downtown Radford, while their families and friends are out riding.
There will be a rolling start from 6:45-8:30 AM, group start times also available. Riders under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Riders under 8 must have permission in advance from race director. ANSI or Snell Certified helmets required.
The event is held rain or shine.
Proceeds will benefit FCA Endurance ministries and missions projects. FCA is 501c-3 non-profit organization.
